Business Continuity & Resiliency Auditor

The Business Continuity & Resiliency Auditor (BCRA) certification provides accreditation for compliance, financial and IT auditors responsible for reviewing and auditing an organization’s business continuity management (BCM) program.
BCM professionals assigned to conduct internal review and audit requirements for their ISO22301 BCM system (BCMS) should be certified with this credential. Middle management, department representatives, business unit coordinators, Business Continuity, Crisis Management and Disaster Recovery managers and auditors charged with auditing or evaluating a ISO 22301 BCMS. Candidates should have successfully completed the BCM-201 Diploma in Business Continuity Audit and Evaluation course.
Participants who were awarded the NIBCM's ABCM, BCMP or BCRP, can be exempted from attending BCM-201 Diploma in Business Continuity Audit and Evaluation course if they have at least two years of verifiable experience auditing Business Continuity Management Systems using ISO 22301.
How to be Certified
- Attend and Complete the online BCM-201 Diploma in Business Continuity Audit and Evaluation course;
- Attempt and Pass the BCRA exam with at least a minimum score of 70%.

- Pay the Course Fee; the BCRA exam fee is included in the course fee
- Take all lessons in the course, homework assignments are optional
- Answer quizzes at the end of each lesson
- Answer the BCRA Final Exam with at least a 70% score
- Be awarded the BCRA certification
Certification
- Requirement: Pass the BCRA Examination
- Experience: No experience is needed for the award of the certification if the BCM-201 course is completed. The course is considered equivalent to 2 years' on-the-job experience. Otherwise, at least two years of verifiable experience auditing Business Continuity Management Systems using ISO 22301 is required..
Maintenance Fee Payment
Beginning in 2024 for new certifications awarded on or after January 1, 2023:
- Year 1: Free
- Year 2: $ 50 USD Renewal Fee.
